About Cathcart Psychological Services |
Specializing in Chronic pain, Mental Health, Addictions & Stress Management ![]() My current practice is focused primarily in the areas of chronic pain (including headaches), anxiety, depression, addictions, and stress management. In addition to my graduate education in Counselling Psychology, I have further training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, Chronic Pain Self-Management and Mindfulness Meditation. Prior to entering the field of psychology, I worked as a mental health nurse, which provided me with experience in working with people along the full continuum of mental health issues. My therapeutic approach is client-centered and collaborative, such that we will work together to determine your goals for therapy, as well as the structure and pacing of the process. My approach is always tailored to the needs of each individual, and aims to address past and present issues that may impede the change you desire, thus allowing your strengths to surface and new coping strategies to develop. ![]() |
